Our engineering services at Refurb World encompass a wide and diverse product knowledge across a variety of commodities and vendors, including printing, networking, computing and storage equipment. While many of our competitors in the asset recovery marketplace may be experts in one or two product lines, we are able to offer engineering expertise in computing, networking, storage, printing and more. Refurb World can offer you services ranging from simple acquisition of materials to complex, deep reverse engineering services and solutions to repair, refurbish, recertify and resell assets that may otherwise be scrapped or recycled.
During the disassembly portion of our engineering services, we follow each OEM's documentation and guidelines to understand at what depth we need to disassemble materials to get to field replaceable units, all the way down to each component of the unit. Using Refurb World's proprietary Utility Analysis tool, we study the market demand for each whole unit, each piece, each component, and dissemble the materials with the distinct goal of maximizing the revenue potential for that product.

Our engineering services team will test to whatever level the OEM or the sales channel demands, to ensure that the components or whole units meet those standards. Utilizing Refurb World's onsite lab, our engineers create test fixtures, test parameters, and testing procedures to meet every level of testing demand, including OEM recertification. Additionally we can provide failure analysis of each product or component, documentation, and repackaging.

When it comes to data, every one of us is familiar with the worst case scenarios of lost or exposed data. At Refurb World we treat the privacy and protection of our customers and users as paramount. While the industry standard for wiping hard drives clean is based on the Department of Defense's 3-pass requirement, we will cater to whatever standard you demand - whether it's a 3 passes or 27 passes - and then we further test the drives to ensure that they are clean. We guarantee that every product that has a hard drive in it goes through the minimum DOD wipe process. If a drive fails testing after it has been wiped, that drive is destroyed and we will provide you with a certificate of destruction with the serial number included on that certificate.
Our engineering services team has defined our process that begins when we gather product from the field. Data is secure from the moment it gets into our process and drives are tracked on a serial number by serial number basis, with 100% traceability.
